0:00 - the opening is reasonable enough, although there is a slight break of the 180 rule when they enter the door. The overdub of the guitar works as an idea, but it sounds a little cobbled together - is it the same bit repeated several times? 0:34 - there is a slightly dodgy camera movement here. The lighting isn't great in this shot 0:36 - the continuity is slightly off here (consider the quality of light and the direction in which the boys are facing) 0:48 - you hold some of the shots for a little longer than one might expect (for example, the band's answers to the question about how they feel) 0:51 - there is a continuity error here when you cut to the CU of the guy in the hat (look at his expression) 0:59 - you need to be careful of the sound (as you can hear, the cameras aren't great at picking up volume) 1:20 - there is a slight breaking of the 180 degree rule when the band enter (look at where they exit the previous shot and enter the next) 1:32 - some of the camerawork is a little wobbly, although this may be deliberate? 1:34 - one thing to check with the cameras is the white balance. This is why some of the shots look blue and some look pink. You need to adjust it on the camera 1:40 - some good reverse angle work here 1:48 - watch the editing; you have slightly cut off some of the dialogue (it's noticable when Calum starts to speak, for example) 1:59 - there is a slight continuity glitch here in terms of the expressions and gestures the guys use 2:10 - where the guys give their individual reasons, I would expect to see CUs of them; possibly reaction shots from the judges as well. This shot is held waaay too long (and it's hard to hear the dialogue) 2:43 - this is not a great shot to start with, and the movement is very jerky. You need to try and get your panning to be a lot more smooth 2:52 - not really right to cut from one shot to a virtually identical shot, although the audio editing is good 3:01 - ... not so good here...! 3:11 - you're cutting from LS to LS... really, you need to break this up with CUs/ 2shots/ reaction shots etc... With regard to the music, very hard to get this to work from separate takes. Ideally, you would shoot multi camera or shoot your master take with the music and then other shots (CUs etc) to cut into the master 3:24 - You hold this shot for too long. I think that you could have cut the song sooner; the point is made...! 3:33 - This is a well-framed 2 shot. Was the cut to black before this deliberate? 3:52 - The CUs here are good, although I would have been tempted to do reverses back to Calum on his lines 4:12 - A little odd to see their reactions to something we can't see - would expect to have a reverse showing what they are looking at...
Overall, this is a good effort and demonstrates improvement. There are some proficient shots and some good editing (although some rough edges which further judicious editing would remove). Key things to think about are making sure the continuity is tight (particularly matches) and that you've thought about movement. Also consider implications of shoting dialogue and lighting. Well done.
